Arlyn Jave

I am Arlyn Jave , 21 years old and a medical student from the University of the Philippines Manila. I graduated high school from Philippine Science High School Southern Mindanao Campus with High Honors and had 3 years of volunteer teaching experience where I taught elementary school children. With the current COVID-19 situation I have decided to apply for a teaching position as a way to share my knowledge and be productive with my time. I believe that my 14 years of formal education with English as the medium of instruction, will be beneficial most especially for my future students. My strength lies in my ability to communicate well with people, and in my flexibility in situations. I would consider myself as a patient and persevering person especially in the face of adversity. My hobbies include reading manga, going to the gym (prior to the pandemic) and engaging in extracurricular and leadership activities which had shaped me to become the person that I am today.

Experience: I taught elementary school students for 3 years (2014-2017) as a volunteer teacher under our high school`s outreach program. I was also a volunteer staff at Philippine Red Cross in 2016 and a student intern at the Department of Science and Technology Region XIII in the same year.
