Hello! I`m Teacher Sheryl, a licensed professional teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience and a genuine passion for helping children discover their potential and develop a lifelong love of learning.
I have 17 years of preschool teaching experience, which has given me a deep understanding of early childhood development and how to make lessons engaging, meaningful, and age-appropriate. I also spent three years living and working in Hanoi, Vietnam, as an international Montessori and ESL teacher. I also have six years of online teaching experience and three years teaching English as a Foreign Language to a student from China.

I hold a Master of Mathematics from Ateneo de Manila University and a Bachelor of Secondary Education from the University of the Philippines Diliman. I am also a licensed professional teacher and MACTE-certified Montessori teacher, specializing in early childhood education for children aged 3–6.

My areas of expertise include:
Math: Singapore Math, Montessori Math, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra
Reading and Phonics: Letter sounds, blending, decoding, fluency, and reading comprehension
English: ESL/EFL, English Language Arts, grammar, vocabulary, and writing

I believe every child learns differently and deserves a teacher who understands, encourages, and supports them. My teaching style is patient, nurturing, interactive, and built around each student`s needs and learning pace.

I use a variety of teaching strategies, visual aids, hands-on activities, and real-life examples to make even challenging concepts easier to understand. Whether your child is building foundational skills, strengthening academic knowledge, or exploring new interests, I aim to make every lesson both productive and enjoyable.

Experience: I am a licensed professional teacher with over 20 years of education experience and more than 10 years tutoring Mathematics, both face-to-face and online. My teaching experience spans early childhood, elementary, and secondary education, allowing me to support learners at different developmental stages and with varying academic needs.

I currently teach 17 Math students from Nursery through Grade 10, helping them build mathematical understanding, strengthen foundational skills, improve problem-solving, and gain confidence in the subject. My students come from the United States, Canada, Australia, China, and the Philippines, and I adapt my lessons to their individual learning needs, grade levels, and school curricula.

My experience includes teaching Grade 9 Mathematics to students from: the University of Santo Tomas (UST) and De La Salle Zobel, as well as Grade 10 Mathematics to a student from Assumption College Makati. I am familiar with supporting students as they progress from foundational arithmetic to more advanced mathematical concepts.
